Methodology
How this figure is measured
Price divided by bag weight, per kilogram, converted to euros at ECB reference rates as of 2026-07-24. Median rather than average, with no trimming of the expensive end — competition lots are real prices, and for Ethiopia in particular they are part of the story rather than noise. Multi-bag packs, subscriptions, gift boxes, drip sachets, pods and wholesale sacks are excluded.
Ethiopia is published because it clears both floors: at least 30 bags from at least 8 different roasters. This is the origin of the bean, wherever in the world it was roasted and sold — for prices by roaster country, see the country breakdown.
