Sunset Chocolate Decaf – Red & Yellow Caturra, Colombia From the volcanic soils of Tolima, Colombia, Sunset Chocolate Decaf is our sweet escape from the idea that decaf is dull. From the 2026 harvest, this coffee is grown at 1,450 MASL on the forward-thinking El Vergel Estate. This 100% Arabica blend of Red and Yellow Caturra is naturally decaffeinated using Colombian sugarcane, keeping all the flavor and none of the buzz. El Vergel is led by the visionary Bayter family, Elías and Shady, who transformed their avocado farm into one of Colombia’s most innovative coffee projects. With decades of dedication and experimentation, they're redefining what decaf can be. 🧪 Precision fermentation meets smooth decafThese cherries undergo a 48–60 hour anaerobic fermentation to develop their juicy, tropical profile. After sun-drying and mechanical drying at low temperatures, they’re gently decaffeinated using the Sugarcane EA method, a natural process that preserves complexity without compromising quality. ☕ Flavor profileSunset Chocolate is a smooth, comforting cup with a rich, dessert-like character. Expect notes of milk chocolate, almond, molasses, and a gentle touch of clove, creating a warm, balanced profile that’s beautifully layered and clean. Perfect hot or over ice. 🌱 Naturally decaffeinated in ColombiaUsing ethyl acetate derived from local sugarcane, this method keeps things natural and delicious. You’d never know it’s decaf, and that’s the point.
