About Coffee: REGION: Waghi Valley, Western Highlands ALTITUDE: 1400-1800 mASL GRADE: B VARIETAL: Typica, Bourbon and Catimor PROCESS: Washed Tasting Note Aromas of caramel, warming spices, and malty chocolate. Flavors of burnt caramel nut bar and dried apricot, finishing with a deep, dark chocolate (80%) aftertaste. Low acidity with a medium-to-full body. Story Sigri was established in the highlands of Papua New Guinea just outside of Mt Hargen in the 1950’s and has become a beneficial employer in the region. Supplying jobs for growing not only top quality washed arabicas but also tea. The Sigri estate sponsors and supports the building of schools, water projects and nurse stations to ensure that their employees and the surrounding communities are happy to continue to work.
