About Coffee REGION MOUNT ELGON ALTITUDE: 1,300 - 2,000 MASL VARIETAL: SL14 SL28 PROCESS: Natural Tasting Note Aromatic and earthy with a rich, grounded sweetness. Ripe starfruit, pomegranate, and black tea on the nose lead into flavours of rapadura sugar, mosto, and coffee pulp — underpinned by gentle black tea undertones, bright lime acidity, and a medium-heavy body. Story: In Uganda, smallholder farmers face persistent challenges around productivity, quality, and market access. In 2023, Kawacom Uganda partnered with USAID to launch the Uganda Smallholder Farmer Livelihoods Initiative — connecting over 10,800 farmers to better markets, supporting Organic certification, and promoting sustainable farming practices. The result: increased export volumes, improved quality, and stronger incomes for the communities behind this cup.
