Kicking Horse Coffee was founded in 1996 by Elana Rosenfeld and Leo Johnson in a garage in Invermere, BC, and grew into Canada's largest organic, Fair Trade certified roaster before being acquired by Lavazza in 2017. Headquartered in the Columbia Valley with the original roastery still in Invermere, the brand is best known for dark-roast blends like Kick Ass, Three Sisters, and Smart Ass.
