Black & White Coffee Roasters was founded in 2017 by two-time US Barista Champion Lem Butler and US Brewers Cup Champion Kyle Ramage in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The brand has become synonymous with experimental processing — co-fermentations, thermal-shock, and yeast-inoculated lots from Colombia's Diego Bermudez and Wilton Benitez among others. The Wake Forest roastery serves as production hub with retail cafés in Raleigh and Durham. Black & White consistently ranks in Sprudge's top US roasters and has supplied beans to multiple competition finalists.
