FARM HISTORY Kamunyaka Wet Mill is part of the Iria-ini Farmers Cooperative Society in Nyeri County, representing more than 1,200 smallholder producers. The fertile volcanic soils surrounding Mount Kenya and the region's high elevation provide ideal conditions for producing coffees with vibrant acidity and clarity. After harvest, ripe cherries are carefully processed using the traditional washed method before being dried on raised beds. The result is a clean and expressive cup that reflects the character of Nyeri's renowned coffee-growing landscape. CypherED Profile Produced by David Mwangi in Nyeri County, this washed lot is a classic expression of Kenyan coffee. Grown at 1,700–1,800 masl from SL28, Ruiru 11, and Batian, the coffee delivers vibrant acidity balanced by refined sweetness. The cup opens with bright mandarin orange, followed by ripe blackberry and a caramel-like sweetness. A clean structure and lingering finish highlight the clarity and balance characteristic of Nyeri's high-altitude coffees.
