Founded in 2025 by Chris Campbell-Barr, who first roasted professionally in 2012 and has run cafes across Sussex since. Freda roasts single origin only, in small batches and seasonally, buying smaller lots through UK importers including Falcon Specialty in Lewes. The coffees are served and tested at Bond Street Coffee, his Brighton cafe, before they reach the shop.
