Henry set up Imperial Jade in 2020 to roast coffee from Yunnan, China, after tasting a purple cherry lot from ZhiXiang Estate on a trip in 2018. The range is built on two Yunnan roasts, the dark Fuxian and the medium Jizu, developed on an Ikawa Pro. Roasting is done in Kent, and brewing kit is sold alongside the coffee.
