A father-and-daughter roastery in Sacriston, County Durham. Bernhard left academia and opened Kaffeehaus Amadeus in Lanchester in 2013 to bring Austrian filter-coffee habits to the North East; he and his daughter Carina started roasting themselves in 2020. Roasts single origins on an Air Motion machine, supplies home brewers and trade, and runs coffee courses. Open to the public midweek.
