Pilot Coffee was founded in 2009 in Toronto's Leslieville neighbourhood as Te Aro Roasted Coffee and rebranded to Pilot in 2014. The company is one of Canada's most-awarded roasters and has had multiple Canadian Barista Champions on staff. Pilot operates a 16,000 sq ft roastery in Scarborough on a Loring S35, and runs cafes across Toronto including the original Leslieville location. They focus on long-term producer relationships in Ethiopia, Colombia, Kenya, and El Salvador.
