Started in London in October 2021 by Marcus and Rhian, who wanted a roasting brand that shares its profits with animal rescue charities. Marcus roasted competition coffees at Kiss the Hippo before this. Took £21,000 in year one and donated £1,800. A coffee cart at St Marylebone Parish Church ran four months in 2024; the first permanent shop opened in Cockington Village, Devon in May 2025.
