Robert William Stokes started the business in Lincoln in 1892; the family has been roasting there since 1902 and is now on its fourth generation. Still independent and family-run, B Corp certified, supplying cafes and restaurants across the UK. Three of its own cafes — two in Lincoln, one in Newark — plus over 30 loose-leaf teas.
