Transcend Coffee was founded in 2006 by Poul Mark in Edmonton and is Alberta's longest-running third-wave specialty roaster. The company runs a roastery on Argyll Road plus multiple cafes around Edmonton, and operates a direct-trade program with long-running partners in Colombia (Finca El Rosario), El Salvador, and Ethiopia. Transcend is regularly cited as one of Canada's pioneer direct-trade roasters.
