About this awesome coffee Tastes like: White Chocolate, Almond, Black Forest Gateau Mountain: 1,800 MASL Variety: Batian, Ruiru 11 Process: Washed Producer: Sidney Kibet & Lot 20 coffee Origin: Kericho County, Kenya Roaster notes: "A delicious coffee that has good body, black forest gateau sweetness, with hints of almond and white chocolate, this coffee works really well with and without milk and pretty much which ever way you are brewing it. We have been enjoying this coffee as an espresso and brewed on the stove top and cafetiere". The story of Lot 20 The story of Lot 20 began with a simple ambition: to export just 20 bags of Kenyan coffee to the UK. Since then, founder Sidney Kibet has built something far bigger. Working alongside farmers across western Kenya, Lot 20 has become known for its curiosity and willingness to experiment. Rather than accepting that coffee has to be processed the way it always has been, Sidney is constantly exploring new ideas – trialling different fermentations using fruit pulp, selected yeasts and native microorganisms to unlock new flavours and improve cup quality. The goal isn’t experimentation for its own sake. Better coffees create greater value, and that value can be shared back with the farmers growing them. They’re always asking, “What if we tried this?” — always learning, always refining, and never settling for the status quo. This Misadhi PB is a brilliant example of that approach: a coffee that reflects both the exceptional potential of Kenyan coffee and the relentless curiosity of the people producing it.
